Stress fractures?

How much more of a hopeless case do you have to be, to repeatedly injure yourself in the same way? You could depict it with a picture of you hitting your head in the wall over and over and over again, then asking yourself "why is it hurting?".

I've been walking around for 5 days without much further regard to the soreness in the upper parts of my foot. When I first noticed I thought "this is just muscle/tendon soreness", but it isn't. After resting it for one or two days, I went for a longer walk, just to find myself with a swollen foot after. Stress fractures happen when you pick up a new sport, which your body is not adapted to, and you push it too hard. Bones adapt to stress just like muscle does, just a lot slower. The areas of the bone which are unnecessary for the given activity are remodelled. Slowly degrading the bone on one side and building it up on the other. Stress fractures are when the bone is degraded faster than built up. As a consequence the stressed bones develop mini-fractures, which if untreated, can turn into a chronic endeavour.
After 2 tendon tears, 3 sprained ankles, 3 shoulder dislocations, a surgery and now stress fractures.. I ask myself.. "don't you think it's time to slow down?"
Expected recovery time: 6-8 weeks. Hopefully my case is not that bad.
Gonna ice my foot now. Sit at home. Suck on a dick or something.
